Whitegold, and the Green Futures project of St Austell Bay Economic Forum has been awarded £1.1m to re-energise St Austell and the surrounding communities and put ceramics at the heart of Cornwall’s Clay Country.

The ceramics project will make artworks in clay and other media that explore the culture of the clay country, make opportunities for local creative people and help develop their skills and experience by working with the best artists in the world.

St Austell’s clay heritage is celebrated in the Whitegold festival which is happening on September 29 in the town centre.
