We spent the weekend at Wheal Martyn Clay Works with Laurence Eastwood @laurencethemaverick creating a traditional clay oven to a Cornish design. The weather wasn’t totally co-operative, but not enough to slow down the creation of the oven.
We’ll be firing it gently over the next 10 days in preparation for its unveiling at the Festival on Saturday 29. From around 11.30 you’ll have an opportunity to experiment with cooking on the oven, or just consuming the food cooked for us by Laurence and helpers.
The Festival takes place all along Fore Street, in the Market House and at White River Place, starting at 10. And it’s FREE. Join us!
